Arapahoe Libraries Bookmobile.

Reconditioned 1960 Gerstenslager Bookmobile purchased in November of 1966 from Mid-Continent Public Library Service in Independence, Missouri. Began service to Bennett, Strasburg, Byers and Deer Trail, Colorado in February 1967. Text reads: Arapahoe…

Jeanne Davies is the "pioneer" of Arapahoe Library District and one of the original five board members of the library district.

Ann Kelver was the first librarian hired by the original Board of the Arapahoe Library District in 1966.

Castlewood Library opened in 1982 and is located at 6739 S. Uinta Street in Centennial, CO. Prior to the opening of this library Walnut Hills Library served this community.

Southglenn Library relocated in 1998 to 7500 South University Blvd #101, Centennial, CO. (Dry Creek Center).

Sheridan Public Library opened in 1972 at 3201 West Oxford Avenue, Sheridan, CO. The library was located inside Sheridan High School.

Koelbel Library (aka Main Library) opened in 1992 at 5955 S. Holly Street, Centennial , CO. It was named in honor of financial contributor Walter A. Koelbel.
